Formal Education

The Gymnasium works five days per week.

Lessons start at 8.00 a.m. o’clock.

The process of education is divided into half-years.

The first half-year starts on the 1st of September 2011 and finishes on the 1st of January 2012

The second half-year starts on the 1st of February 2012 and finishes on the 10th of June 2012

 

Pre-school education

This type of education is provided to six-year-old children. It lasts for one year and helps children to get ready for learning at primary school.

 

Primary education

Children from 6/7 to 10/11 years old are educated according to this curriculum.

At primary school children are taught to elementary literacy. Teaches help them to prepare for learning at a basic level. The content of primary education is devoted to a child according to his needs, interests, age and individual qualities.

The duration of the primary education is 4 years (from the 1st to the 4th forms)

Basic education

 

After finishing primary school children continue their education at a basic level. The aim of basic school is to provide to students strong moral norms, civil principles, basic literacy and elementary technological literacy. By the end of basic school students have to be able to make decisions on further ways of their education. Basic education lasts 6 years (from the 5th to the 10th forms)

Secondary education

 

Children who finish basic school are educated at secondary schools. The duration of this period is 2 years (the 11th and the 12th forms). The curriculum of secondary education consists of two parts: compulsory and optional subjects. Students have an opportunity to choose subjects themselves according to their future profession. After finishing secondary school students are presented the Certificate of Secondary Education  and have the right to study at the university.
